20+ Years Experience
1000 Events
Award-winning marquee weddings, built around you.
We've been creating marquee weddings across Herefordshire, Powys and South Wales for over 20 years. In that time we've worked on everything from intimate garden receptions to large rural celebrations for hundreds of guests — and no two have ever been the same.
Every enquiry starts with a free site visit. We come to you, walk your space and listen to what you're planning. From there we build a fully itemised proposal tailored to your exact requirements — transparent pricing, nothing hidden, no obligation.
We're not a national hire company. We're a small, experienced team based in Hay-on-Wye who care deeply about every event we take on — which is why couples trust us with one of the most important days of their lives.

Not that much really.
If all you have is the date, you can get in touch to see if it's available. Securing the date early allows you to move forward with confidence. Some dates are more popular than others and can get booked several years in advance. We hate to disappoint, but we can't guarantee our availability until the initial booking.
Obviously the more information you can give us the more we can tailor your proposal to your needs. A great start would be:
Date
Location
Number of day guests
Number of evening guests
Any definite 'have to haves', such as - clear roofs, rustic furniture, custom dancefloors

What Can a Marquee Include?
Every installation is tailored to the event and location — but most setups include a combination of the following. We can talk through all the options and design the layout entirely around your requirements.
The modular nature of our clearspan frames means additional structures can be connected to the main marquee to create separate areas — a bar, a catering space, a drinks reception area, a chill-out lounge, an entrance canopy or a covered walkway between spaces. No two layouts are ever the same.
Inside the main structure, finish options include ivory drape linings, blackout starlighting, clear window walls that frame the landscape around you, or clear roof sections that bring the sky inside.
How Big Should My Marquee Be?
Almost all of our wedding receptions use our 12m clearspan marquee. The 12m frame requires less structural framework for the same floor area compared to narrower alternatives — which means a quicker installation and a better result for you.
Within a single 12m structure we can partition off separate areas for catering, bar service and main dining with dance floor — keeping everything connected and reducing the amount of kit required. As a guide:
Up to 64 day guests — approximately 12m x 15m (up to 100 evening guests)
64–96 day guests — approximately 12m x 21m (up to 160 evening guests)
100–130 day guests — approximately 12m x 27m (up to 200 evening guests)
130–170 day guests — approximately 12m x 33m–36m (up to 320 evening guests)
170+ guests — split structure, assessed individually
These figures are a starting point only. The size we recommend will also account for your evening guest numbers, dance floor, live band or stage, catering setup and any other features you're planning. For a detailed breakdown of how these sizes work in practice — including real floor plans and wedding examples — see our full marquee size guide.
Is My Location Suitable For A Marquee?
Our marquees are suitable for most locations — but here are the key things to consider when choosing your site. If you're unsure about any of these, the free site visit is exactly what it's for.
The size of the area
The space needs to comfortably accommodate the marquee itself, plus room for guests to enjoy the outside, parking, toilet facilities and power management. You'll also want enough space for caterers, bar and band to set up and work without being cramped.
Surface of the site
Our marquees can be erected on grass, patio or concrete. The condition of the ground will influence which flooring option works best — we'll advise on the most suitable choice for your site and time of year.
How level is it
The flatter the better. We can accommodate gradients with different flooring solutions, but the more level the site the more straightforward — and cost-effective — the installation.
Are there any restrictions
Check with the landowner that you have full access to all required areas. Overhead electrical cables or underground services — gas mains, water pipes — can prevent the marquee being erected in certain spots. Worth checking before you commit to a location.

The total footprint depends on your layout and what additional structures you require. We'll give you specific recommendations based on your guest numbers in the tailored estimate andduring the free site visit.

Yes — and many couples do. We provide a full electrical wiring installation as part of your marquee setup, covering all the distribution needed throughout the structure. Your caterers, bar and band may have their own power requirements which we can factor into the pricing. If you have mains power available on site that's always the first option — but most events run from a generator, which we can arrange through our trusted supplier network.
