Our Marquee Structures
What Is a Clearspan Marquee?
Our marquees are clearspan aluminium frame structures — modular in design, which means they can be configured into almost any size, shape or layout to suit the event and the site. There are no internal support poles, giving you a completely open, flexible space to work with from the ground up.
Every installation starts with a blank canvas. The structure, layout, covering, internal finish and any additional areas are all designed around your specific requirements — whether that's an intimate private celebration, a wedding reception for 200 guests, or a marquee for an agricultural show.
A clearspan marquee uses an interlocking aluminium frame to create a fully self-supporting structure. Unlike traditional pole marquees, there are no internal poles or guy ropes — the entire internal space is open and usable. The modular bay system means the structure can be extended in any direction, connected to additional structures, or configured into an L-shape, T-shape or any other layout required by the site.
The frame is strong, weather resistant and suitable for year-round use. Once erected, it provides a stable, secure structure that can accommodate flooring, linings, lighting, heating and any other equipment needed for the event.
Frame Widths
We stock four frame widths, each suited to different applications:
12 Metre Width - our primary wedding and events structure. A full wedding reception — dining area, dance floor, bar and catering — can typically be accommodated within a single 12m structure, partitioned into separate areas as required. The length is modular and can be extended in bays to suit guest numbers and site layout.
9 Metre Width — used for smaller receptions, parties and events where the full 12m width isn't required. Also used as a secondary structure alongside a 12m for additional areas.
6 Metre Width - suited to bar areas, catering structures, smaller private events and garden parties.
3 Metre Width - primarily used for covered walkways between structures, entrance canopies and connecting corridors.
Our Curved Roofline
Every frame we use features a curved beam extension in place of the traditional ridge knuckle. The result is a softer, more elegant roofline — a gentle arc rather than the harsh angular peak you'll find on most clearspan marquees.
It's a subtle difference from the outside, but a significant one from within. Under clear roof panels where the frame is fully visible, the curved profile creates a far more pleasing interior view. It also gives our installations a distinctly modern feel that sets them apart from more traditional structures.
We've been building with this design for over 14 years. It's become part of how our marquees look and feel — and one of the things couples and event organisers notice when they see our work.
Multiple structures of different widths can be connected together to create a single integrated venue with separate defined areas.
Covering & Wall Options
As standard, all our structures are covered with solid white opaque PVC roof and wall panels — hardwearing, weatherproof and suitable for all seasons.
Additional covering options include:
Panoramic window walls — full-height clear PVC wall panels with side zips that can be opened and rolled up when weather permits. Ideal for events where the surrounding landscape is a feature.
Clear PVC roof panels — replace solid white roof sections with transparent panels to bring natural light into the structure. Read our guide to clear roof marquees before deciding whether this is right for your event.
Clear PVC gables — transparent end panels that maintain the view through the ends of the structure which allows more light into the end of the marquee as well as maximising the view beyond. The perfect addition to enhance the backdrop.
Creating Multiple Areas
One of the greatest advantages of the modular clearspan system is the ability to connect additional structures to the main marquee to create separate, defined areas within a single integrated venue.
Common additions include:
A separate bar area or drinks reception space
A dedicated catering and kitchen structure
A chill-out lounge away from the main dining area
A covered entrance canopy or porch
A connecting walkway between structures
A separate dance area or stage space
An enclosed toilet corridor
Each additional structure is connected directly to the main marquee, allowing guests to move freely between areas without going outside.
Not Every Event Is the Same.
The size of the marquee required depends entirely on what it needs to do — not just on the number of people attending.
A wedding reception for 150 seated dinner guests requires a very different structure to a show marquee serving 150 visitors browsing produce stalls. An agricultural show with 1,000 visitors may only need a single 12m x 12m structure to house a covered exhibit — the visitors aren't all inside at once.
We assess every enquiry on its own terms. Once we understand what the space needs to achieve — the layout, the function, the flow — we can recommend the right structure and configuration for the event.
